The LAM Foundation provides support, education, and hope to women with Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM), a progressive, debilitating lung disease. Our goals are to organize, marshal the forces of the scientific community, raise LAM from obscurity, and conquer it in a decade.

The LAM Foundation was founded in August, l995 by Fran and Sue Byrnes after their 22 year-old daughter was diagnosed with LAM. A brief history.....

To provide hope to women with LAM by:
- providing information, education and support;
- raising an awareness of LAM in the medical and lay communities;
- sponsoring conferences and workshops related to LAM;
- procuring invaluable LAM tissue for research;
- promoting and funding basic and clinical research.
