HOW YOU CAN HELP
THE LAM FOUNDATION

Hello. I am Glenda Randall, Development Director for The LAM Foundation. The fact that you are viewing this page leads me to believe that you are a LAM patient, someone who cares about a LAM patient, or a remarkably, charitable individual. Thank you for stopping in.

In September 2003, I embarked on a two-month, 13,000-mile journey around the United States to raise funds and awareness for LAM. The Tour For A Cure was an extraordinary success. You can accomplish that same mission from the comfort of your home by funding research. The LAM Foundation is doing everything possible to find a treatment and cure for LAM, but we desperately need your help to accomplish the goal.
View some of the annual events hosted by the LAM Community to raise money for research! Think about what YOU can do - we need YOUR help!

Since 1995, LAM patients, families and friends have built The LAM Foundation and channeled 85% of donated funds to peer-reviewed research. In year two, LAM Foundation scientists discovered a LAM gene. In year four, they found a molecular pathway involved in the cause of LAM. In 2002, LAM scientists began discussing treatment strategies based on these research breakthroughs, using a well-studied drug that was already available for clinical use. The treatment trial became a reality in May 2003.
There has never been greater promise; there has never been greater need. Dare to believe that ordinary people affected by a life-threatening illness can organize, marshal the forces of the scientific community, raise their disease from obscurity, and conquer it in a
    decade. LAM families believe!

The day is fast approaching when women with LAM will breathe freely, and that is why The LAM Foundation needs your help.

The links to the left of this page will make it easy for you to make a difference, from a direct donation to a letter-writing campaign. As a LAM patient, are you thinking, "I can't ask people for money?" My question to you..." If not you, WHO?" Who is that friend or loved-one who feels helpless and longs to make a difference? Let them. Allow them to bring hope to the LAM world in your name. They can begin by contacting me at (513) 777-9315.

I am here to serve you. Please contact me or the Development Assistant Amie Smith if we may inspire or assist you with your fundraising efforts.

    Thank you.
